P.M. report alone is not substantive evidence. For it to be admitted as evidence, it need to be corraborated by examination of the MO (doctor) who conducted the autopsy.

The post-mortem report by itself proves nothing as it is not a substantive piece of evidence.

The Post-Mortem report can be used only to corroborate the evidence of the doctor in Court under Section 157 or for refreshing his memory under Section 159 of the Evidence Act or for contradicting his evidence in Court under Section 145 of the Evidence Act.
