Is mandatory for register gen POA to attend court case

Hello There is a civil case on my father by landlord under rent control act in Mumbai small court . I have a general power of attorney made in 2012 which was notary not registered. So my question is can i the son attend the court matter instead of my father with this notarized general POA. Or do I have to make a new register poa for the case

Expert means that your GPA is not cmpulsorily required to be registered, and can be acted upon by the court. POA can be excuted before any Notary/Court/judge/Magistrate/Embassy etc.
