Is land conversation required for 150 sq yrds plot under residential category, at present plot is registered in agriculture land in non municipal area

I want to purchase a 150 sq yards land in Noida Sector 143, which is abadi land of a village registered on agricultural catagory. Can this land be registered in residential category after paying stamp duty and no conversion is required. Shall be grateful if get reply.
