Hi there,
Just wanted to know whether ESI is mandatory for the all the employess of the company drawing salary less than 15000p.m
Is It applicable for the contract daily labour also, because we hire labour for our company from a lobour contract on daily basis and make the payments end of the month to the labour contractor.

If the establishment employs 10 or more person, the the establishment comes under the coverage of ESI.
Regarding contractor's employees, if the cotractor does not have a separate code number under ESI and paying the contribution, then the principle employer is liable to pay such contributions.

ESI will be applicable on contractor. It is a libility of contractor to contribute towards ESI act.

Be particular with contractor and watch so that liablity is not fastened on you.
