A patient in serious condition is admitted to a nursing home and dies within few days. At the time of discharge they handed over the test results and death certificate but not the original prescripttions nor any case history of the patient. How can the family members procure details of treatment of the patient? All payments had been made and the nursing home had issued statements to that effect. Should one apply through RTI or complain to the state medical council or do something more appropriate? I believe family of the deceased patient has every right to get the original prescripttions in such cases.
