How to finish the case

i have been chargesheeted under IPC 354,292,385,507.

The case is of 2009, but police has filed a chargesheet in 2012.

I want to know what options i have to settle the case; is there any provision for out of court settlement.

If yes how? if no then what are the options to save myself..

I have been summoned for appearance on 1 july..

should we speak to the opponent party and can we do any out of court settlement.

or should we wait and see whether the opponent party turns up for the hearing..will they be summoned too or not?

what will happen if they do not turn up for the hearing..?

what are the options with me ?

should we wait for them to turn up for hearing, and if they do then what should be our next move?

should we approach the other party then(that is after they turn up) or now ?

and what should we speak about with them?

Please help us out , we would be really grateful for all your kind suggestions.

The primary object of Cr.P.C. is to protect peace in the country. But at the same time, we should keep in mind that ours is a Democratic, Socialistic and Welfare country. The accused is also a citizen of India. He is also a human. Therefore the Cr.p.c. provides all reasonable facilities to an accused. Fair Trial, an opportunity to accused to prove his innocence. Legal aid to indigent accused, compensation to the accused in case of frivolous, vexatious and concocted complaints, to protect his self respect, etc.,etc.,The Principles of natural justice are adopted in it. You can engage a lawyer for prtecting yourself, according to your own choice.

I have a lawyer. And he tells me to first appear before the court on 1 July.I want to ask the forum that in these two months time can we contact the opponent party n settle the case. If yes then how to get their contact address? .if no then how to go about the case after my appearance in court.? What should we do then just wait for the proceedings to go on or do something like out of court settlement? And how is it done? And is it possible that the opponent withdraws the case? Or tells the court that they don't have any complaint now. For this when should we approach the opponent n how?
