How to declaration of conversion of religous faith

he must have an affidavit to the effect. most religion give a certificate of conversion. if his new religion is giving a certificate, he must preserve it. thats all. if in any govt. document, it is needed to declare religion, he has to apply for a change of religion along with the affidavit and a certificate if he has one.

Rightly advised by Mr ARIX, follow it. other way of it is that you can make a publication in the national newspaper of your area circulation in the language which is known to majority of persons of your concern. This will help you for any declaration needed in the Government documents.

I differ with the experts.  You have to submit application for conversion of religion in the District Collector Office.  It will be published in the Gazzette on payment of Publication charges and after completion of the formalities you will get letter of conversion from the government.  You can show this in any government department and you have change your religion accordingly.

Fist of all get converted into the religion he might prefer to embrace by following the formalities in their respective places after that get the same published in the government gazette.

It is necessary to state here from which relgion to which religion the conversion is. Religions like Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, perhaps Buddhism have procedures for conversion to their religion. There may be other religions also. Hinduism has no conversion into it. Arya Samaj has. There may be other Hindu sects. Conversion by itself has to be by following the due process of the particualr religion. Declaration is only to inform the rest of the world. Such declaration is not mandatory unless you want to claim something on the basis of your new religion or you want to get a paasport or make changes is a passport already or you want to inform your employer. Most often conversion to another religion would involve a change of name. One may have personal records with the previous name and previous religion. Concerned authorities have to be informed that it is the same person but with a different religion and a different name. Name and religion may have been entered in one's birth certificate. When it is produced before an authority but with a different religion and a different name one may have to produce a certificate.

Millions of Adivasis are converted to Christianity by missionaries. Do they all go to collector's office or to any other authority and get their names entered in the gazette? If such a thing was required all those conversions would have become invalid. Christianity is organised in the form of a parallel government. They register conversions in the church and if necessary issue certificates also. Declarations, affidavits, entering in the gazette etc are for those who have such a need as stated by me above. Even those who go for private employment like a domestic servant would not need any certificate.
