My mom's actual name is A B.
I got a passport when I was in 7th std with the above mom's name.
But on my 10th marks card my mom's is A C B.
Now I'm applying for a passport reissue.
I can't show my 10th marks card because of this mismatch.
I don't really know why that C got put in my 10th marks card.
So now is it okay if I show the passport office an affidavit (signed by a notary) showing that my mom's name is what is on my marks card? Will the passport agency allow this?
Or should I change the name on my marks card (the board is not allowing this).
