Hi all,
I work in the Software/Ecomm domain. I recently moved on from my previous company to a new company. My previous company was a 5 day working company. I joined there on 24-Jan-2014 and left on 14-Sept-2018 which makes it a total of 4 years 7 months and 21 days.
Am I elegible for gratuity here? Please help me understand this.

Dear querist,
Yes you are eligible.
According to Section 4(2) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, For every completed year of service or part thereof in excess of six months, the employer is liable to pay gratuity to the employee at the rate of fifteen days wages based on the rate of wages last drawn by the employee.
