Gratuity and earned leave encashment to outsourced/contract employees

Dear SIr/s, I have worked in Manappuram Finance Ltd for 6.25 years on an annual contract basis with my contract being extended by every one year. I was terminated from services after 6.25 years. I have applied for gratuity and earned eave encashment . The Company has rejected the same stating that I am not elgible to the same. Kindly clarify whether I am not entitled to both, if yes, please suggest how to proceed against the company.

In your Annual Contract if it is specifically denied then you are not eligible to get.

Does the contract provide for Gratuity Scheme?

Does it offer superior benefits than offered by Payment of Gratuity Act?
