I am a medical doctor currently working as a specialist in ministry of health and family welfare in the same pay scale of 15600 - 39100 with a grade pay of 6600 and also getting non practising allowance. I got selected to civil services through UPSC in the pay scale of 15600-39100 but with a grade pay of 5400. my query is whether i can protect my grade pay (6600) and or the non practising allowances. or is there any other way to protect my current total gross salary from tumbling down because of my new assignment.?
