Cases will be decided on merits, try check if there is any possibility of reconciliation between you and your wife with the help of elder of both families and common friends.

If result is on negative side then be ready to visit courts.

Before the other party moved against you filing all sort of criminal cases against you and your family members, best is to file divorce case against her. Rest all other settlements can be worked out in court during mediation and conciliatory process.

I do understand, Its better to solve within family members, we tried that but failed.

I have a strong feeling, My inlaws do not want to settle and want to thrive on alimony and their daughters money

what is the worst that can happen ?

They have even threaten us asking for a hugh alimony.

So far none has talked about or filed for Divorce

These things are very common from wife side, these things are base to get alimony from you and harass your family to come to the court, I will suggest you that try for the reconciliation with the help of both families and friends. And if it does not work out then try to get a divorce with mutual consent.
