General power of attorney in case of child custody case

Hi Sirs,

 I filed petition for child custory of my 9 years son. Ex wife is in USA with my son.

she filed petition for GPA , giving power to his father to attend the case. My question is  GPA is allowed to her? she intentionally avoiding to show my son since 5 years,Is this helpful for me to pull down to India ??? In recently judge asked me about wilingness to bear flight expenses, I said Yes.. Is this helpful.
