Fixation of pay on direct recruitment with pay protection

Sir,

I was working as Jr. Executive w.e.f. 26.06.2006 in the pay band of 5200-20200 GP 2400. Then i have been promoted as Executive w.e.f. 27.06.2011 in the pay band of 5200-20200 GP 2800. Then i applied in the same office for the direct recruitment of Sr. Executive in 2014. I have been appointed as Sr. Executive w.e.f. 02.07.2014 in the pay band of 9300-34800 GP 4200. My existing pay in the pay band is Rs. 10600/- and old GP 2800/- totaling to Rs. 13400/- whereas in new pay band minimum pay is 9300/- + GP 4200/- totaling to Rs. 13500/-. I am already drawing pay in the pay band Rs. 10600/- which is more than 9300/-.

Now my pay should be fixed as 10600 + one increment + 4200/- or 9300+4200

As per my knowledge: 1) if u promoted by departmental exam then your pay band will remain same only grade pay increases. Exception - after your promotion some direct recruitment join your ofc then your pay band will be fixed or remain same if already higher then new pay band. 2) in case of direct recruitment your pay will be 9300+4200.

in such case your pay on recruitment to higher post will be fixed just like in case of  promotion.

It is possible to fix his pay as per fr 22 clause 1. If it is assumed as Higher responsibilities he will be eligible eligible for fr 22
