A private complaint has been filed and a FIR registered u/s 498a. It has a lot of false criminal allegations against parents and case was quashed against them. I know they can file defamation or malicious prosecution but we don't care about any civil actions.

Can they file perjury u/s either IPC 182 or 211 against them for giving false statement? My parents were subject to a lot of harassment over close to a year by police along with health problems.
