If a person in a year worked in two states, then from which place that person should file a return?

Say for example: A female assessee was doing job in Faridabad since 6years and was filing return there only. Now for AY 2012-13 she has been working in Faridabad for April to May and then she shifted to some panchkula permanently. Then how she should file her return in which jurisdiction?

Can it be possible that she file return online at her previous address for whole year?

It is advisable to file the return from her current address.

The retrun can be filed at the current place, but with the same PAN. Preferably, you may send an intimation to your formaer Assessing Officer, that you have filed your return at that place
