Family property clarification

My family made a property partition in 1990 all agricultural land. Till now my father never transfered patta it is still in grand father and grand father brothers name. Also we lost the original documents in the fire accident. Good thing is that in 1990 my father and his brothers made property partition with proper registration. So now my father wants to transfer the property to us. Please kindly share your knowledge to get solution.

Apparently title holder of property was your grandfather and his brother.

After thier death; If all of their ClassI legal heirs have signed on partition deed and have registered it then there should be NO defect in it.

After valid/registered partition deed the nature of property is self acquired and your father can dispose it in anyone's favor, including you.

You and other family members go for family settlement defining the share of each person and get the deed registered and proceed accordingly. You may also approach court for partition. Approach an advocate with details.
