The ex-parte divorce has been granted 6 months back for my cousin. Her husband filed the divorce and she didn't go to the arguments as they have been anyways separated for 7 years. So, the ex-parte order has been granted.
Now when we go to a lawyer to ask for the official divorce decree, after checking with the court for a long time, they are saying that the judge has not signed the official decree and it may take another month or so due to vacations and the judge getting transferred.
The online status of the case is showing as ex-parte order passed. So, is this a normal scenario that after 6 months, the decree is still not signed and we cant do anything about it ?
