hello. I have a query,
could someone please help with this question. what will happen if an authority or body does not comply with Court Orders or directions.? if anyone would be kind enough to give citations or cases in which the court has taken action in this regard. please help! Environmental Law

Hi Nikhita
You can file for contempt of court for not following the court orders/directions. You can refer the court's view in Vineet Kumar Mathur vs Union Of India 1996 SCC (1) 119.
You will get various other cases where court took the stringent view for not complying to its directions.
