Respected experts,
A document was submitted to court by complainant in a cheque bounce case, objected by the accused and finally documents were allowed by the judge. The said document was infact signed by the accused in the capacity of director of a company. Now question is: can all the contents of the document can be used as evidence during arguments by the compainant's lawyers?

If the document has been proved to be genuine, its contents are proved by the production of the original document itself, as per Sections 61-62 of the Evidence Act. Therefore, in such a case, all its contents can be read in evidence. Whether such evidence is reliable or not, and how much weight to be attached to such evidence, is a different matter and is subject to appreciation of evidence by the court.
