Divorce-property

Hi,

My wife has filed Divorce. Now its mediation counselling stage.. Still Trial was awaiting to start...
I have tried for MCD. My question is... Can i buy any property in my name in Divorce case on running stage??

Is it possible to claim any amount/property by my wife if i am buying??

There is no legal bar in buying or selling property while divorce petition is pending.Your wife cannot claim your property as she has no share in it. However, it will be advisible not to go for the purchase if your wife is claiming alimony.
