Divorce on ground of cruelty

Divorce - Cruelty

Expression 'cruelty' includes both physical and mental - Wife a well-educated young scientist - More interested in her career even at the cost of marital life - Underwent termination of two pregnancies without the knowledge and consent of husband and his parents as per the husband - High Court found that apart from this wife was not interested in continuing marital tie and best efforts of husband failed to pursuade her about maintaining marital relations and need and necessity of child in their life - Held finding of mental cruelty was rightly arrived at by trial Court and High Court and needed no interference.
