Me and my partner are going to own a plot of 1500 sq ft on joint basis. After buying it, we have plan to divide 750sq ft each between us. I wanted to know if and what are the legal activities we have to follow and how much it may cost extra for division of plot as per current law.

A partition suit shall haave to be filed. Thereafter once both the parties mutually admit the partition, there are numerous ways of having the property divided i.e metes and bounds,auction,division etc
