Difficulty in removal of wife's name from pension records

I am an exserviceman from Kerala. I got divorce from my wife one year back on grounds of desertion. Now I want to get my wife's name removed from my pension records. But I am finding difficulty in doing so due to difference in name of my wife as recorded in my pension records and as entered in Divorce Decree. The name as entered in pension records is SINDU R MENON (name after marriage) and the name as entered in Divorce Decree (name as in marriage certificate. The pension approval agency wants that if there is a change in my wife name then I have to submit a name change document of my wife to change the name of my wife from SINDU R MENON to SINDHU K R. Then the Divorce Decree can be accepted. Otherwise I have get my wife's name changed in the Divorce Decree as SINDU R MENON. In this case both are not possible. So I want to know how can I get my wife's name from my pension records through the legal course of action.
