One compliant case (Defamation Suit, u/s 500 IPC) is pending against me for the last two years. Only dates are given, but not much progress has been made. The suit was instituted vexatiously by a private person against me.
Now I have got a State Govt Job in West Bengal that requires Police Verification.
Will the pending suit render me unsuitable for the job? Shall I have to mark 'yes' in the column 'is any cases pending against you're in the police verification form?
Please suggest what to do. Thank you.

You have to mark 'yes' in the attestation form. Generally police report comes after you join.
