a person of 18 years of age can get a laptop to India duty free as a part of baggage but if he is carrying another laptop with him he has to pay customs duty .the rates are not fixed as it depends upon the price of the second laptop brought.also if your friend wants to exempt such duty he can either give the second laptop to any person accompanying him or any fellow passenger so that he can escape the duty.
