CRUELTY TO WIFE
Penal Code,(1860) S.498-A - Cruelty - Wife complaining harassment for dowry - Women's cell making detailed enquiry - Women's cell has come to conclusion that allegations of harassment for dowry were baseless - Inspite of their periodical differences they were happily living as a couple and had also visited number of cities in India - Also found that wife was very much attached to her parents and wanted to stay with them more often - Superintendent of Police also conducted an enquiry that dispute was of a civil nature - Held, High Court failed to appreciate on and off relationship between the parties and no case under S.498-A was made out.
