Crime against women on the rise in Delhi - India Today

In the past few months, the Capital has witnessed several murders or violence against women.

The recent annual report published by the rape crisis cell of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has also reported that there has been a an unabated increase in the number of crimes against women with 375 cases of rape being recorded by the cell in 2010 alone.

Since its inception in 2005 the cell has so far recorded 1,250 rape cases.

On February 11, Neetu Solanki, a 29-year-old BPO employee, was murdered by her boyfriend who has since been absconding.

Bikers in the outer district of the Capital, especially the Mangolpuri area, have been attacking women with blades. The police had arrested two persons identified as Vishal (22) and Rohit (26) in December last year. During interrogation, the duo confessed that they wanted to teach women a lesson for spurning Vishal's advances.

"Vishal had earlier been rejected by a girl who spurned his advances. Vishal with the help of his friend Rohit started attacking women in the area due to frustration," a senior police official said.

A 28-year-old woman working at the Jaipur Golden Hospital was attacked on Saturday night by her husband in Mangolpuri. Her husband was allegedly upset that she had refused to live with him.

Yes, its true.I have read in the news paper ,tv etc.and totally shocking .In metro city, the crime rate is high, there should be some measurement by the govt.in order to curb these type of crime.Sheila Diksh*t  is a Delhi(India) Chief minister.

Most importantly why the person behaving like that? There are several reason like Tv films , media, Phone clips ,internet p*rns movies, serials etc.so,their sould be sensorship in india.Censorship in India mainly targets religious issues.Internet censorship in India is selectively practiced by both federal and state governments. While there is no sustained government policy or strategy to block access to Internet content on a large scale, measures for removing content that is obscene or otherwise objectionable, or that endangers public order or national security have become more common in recent years. Also internet is now becoming very cheap .

Not only  the accused but also the gov. is responsible for these type of crime. As from the statistic, govt has done vrey little effort to curb these type of crimes.Right now in india ,many parents think that .."thanks my children are not living in metro city as they are safe."

It is not that the crime against women are now on rise but it is happening since beginning of the culture of so called HINDUSTAN.

It is taught since childhood that Ravan kidnapped Sita…

Laxman cut nose of Shoorpankha…

Indra Bhagwan raped wife of August rishi…

And it is very unfortunate lesson being taught that THE RAM GAVE LIFE TO DEVI AHILYA BY TOUCHING HER BY HIS FEETS… though it is propagated that women in this culture are treated as DEVI…

Women are ever treated as DEVDASIs OF DEVs (MALES)…

This culture teaches PATI IS PARMESHWAR and WIFE IS ALWAYS LIKE FOOTWEARs… Women taught to be like a pet animal with a Minicipal Licence in the neck called as MANGALSUTRA and always remember DON’T DOs by a red sign on the head tagged as SINDOOR…..

It is nothing but ever taught that the women are Bhogya Devdasi for Dev Purush…

IT WILL NOT CHANGE TILL WHEN THE VICTIM WOMEN WILL NOT START GIVING CICKS ON THE FRONT OF MEN……

INSTEAD BEING VICTIM OF RAPE IT IS THOUSAND TIMES BATTER TO MURDER THE RAPIST IN SELF DEFENCE OR CUT HIS MALE ORGAN.

Ram Samudre,
You are right Hinduism has no premise, no concept of what equality is. The most distorted ideas are given a stamp of morality. Sadly, even now we have not changed. We are still living in "Ram Rajya" and all the self-styled Ramas are out to impose their perverted sense of justice on us.
