Credit card nonpayment

Hi,

I am a houswife.. My husband had an SBI credit card 3 yrs back he lost the job and we didnt have income for 3 yrs so we didnt pay the credit card bill... now the bank has issued a arrest warrant. my husband went to bank to for discussion last month and they took my husband to court... it was shocking adn no other choice he agreed to judge to pay 1.48lakhs.... the bank manager disagreed to reduce the paymnt... is there any legal law to support us in reducing the payment amount or is that a rule that we need to pay full settlemnt amount after arrest warrant...

Please help me with legal advice

The Bank would stick on to their stand. But you can plead and get extension pointing out the inability. In the meantime plead with Lok Adalat for remedy.
