Correction in my daughters birth certificate

Hello everyone ,

I am mailing from chennai , my daughter was born on 9th July 2014 and i had taken a birth certificate from the private hospital and got it regd in Corporation office and obtained birth certificate .

Now i realised there has been error in father's name ( thats me) instead of Mohamed riaz its given as Riaz ahmed , when i approached corpn they asked me to contact hospital , hosp asked me to contact local Taluk office , taluk office says there is no such amendment possible.. can any one help me with a solution as i need to obtain my daughter's passport urgently.

Now the best you could do is to get your name changed in the official gazzate of the state which would be helpful and your problem would get solved

Hi,

Agree with Anwar right suggested if the daughter is more than 18 yrs then she can declaire affedevit of correct name now its one option provided by the Passport authorities which is official gazzate for correct name address declaration.
