Myself in a Four storied flat (each three Residential Houses ) and in the Ground Floor it is shops. The problem is that 8 Residential House Owners and 4 tenants(i am also one). Though the House owners and tenatns have paid the Water tax to the Corporation of Chennai, water is not coming to our flats. On enquiry the commerical establishments have not paid it, which is running to nearly 1 lakh and because of that we could not supply is the Corporation reply. They further told that all the flat owners/tenants make a complaint to the Local Police Station that we have paid the Water Charges but the commercial/shops have not paid and action may be taken against them(we know they cannot take any action) and after that formalities are over, we hire a plumber and cut that connection after that Corporation will enter into the picture and we(Corporation ) will divert the water from the main junction to the flat. Is it correct or how to go about it beacause we are not getting corportion water.
