Coparceners property

My name was included as a then minor along with my fathers name in partition made by my grandfather in 1955 in Mumbai.After five yrs  my father had another 3 daughters and one son so we are 5 siblings. now my father died intestate in 1984 in Mumbai .This immovable property is located in Mumbai suburbs.my question is that Is it in law that since my name was there as a minor, today I can claim 50 % in the same property?

@Querist,

No.You will be given  your due part only of the property and not 50%. Being named as minor at the time of acquiring the property can just be said 'Formality' and it meant only 'Had you been only antecedents of your father,you would have have been acquired the property in toto after your father demise but only when you grew major and till you were a minor that property would only be entrusted to you on behalf of some caretaker'.

Note-This reply should be taken as per the declaration given in my profile page.

Thanks,

Regards,
