My ex-employer filed lodged a complaint against me to harass me. The office of my ex-employer falls under the jurisdiction of Royapettah Police Station. However the MD of the company filed a complaint using his personal letter head which had both hid office address and his residential address. He filed the complaint at Teynampet Police Station which falls under the jurisdiction of his residence. I was called by the Inspector and on showing relevant documents the complaint was withdrawn. I want to know as to whether the complaint should have been filed at the Police Station having jurisdiction of the office or it can be filed at the jurisdiction of the residence of the MD.
