It means human manufacturing indutry opening the pandora box in personal law. Is it not against the law of nature? Anyway, the bill should see that the rights of the biological parents are clearly spell out over the custody of the child and the rights to inheritance of such child of his surrogate parents or biological parents should be clearly defined and not forgetting the sperm banks aspects as the gamets will play a very crucial role in this matter. And what is the name of the ACT? The appropriate name of the act should be The Indian Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008.

Even parents have children who are so different from one another and choosing from the sperm bank after going through the biodata of the prospective father is ridiculous to say the least. hoping that the child will have those qualities of the father to be. Adoption would be a better alternative. There are enough children who are looking for parents......

shows level of moral in india

Shree is right. I put forth my personnal views thus.

Everybody does not have the capacity to be creative and come out with something new. God must have been a socialist. He must have stated to himself , Why limit creativity to few.' So he created the process of procreation. He thus ensured that with minimum effort everybody should get  happiness of creating something new. At my age I think that looking at life as it is - it is not a great thing to be born. Life is 1 % happiness and 99 % sadness.

THis insistance of fathering/mothering a child , is pitiable. Potency / fertility is not the only criteria of a goodness or greatness of man/women.
