in case of a civil partitiion suit in the state of tamilnadu, are original rquired for the documents markup before trial. i only got the copies of the documents and original are not available.
also, are originals with laminated form acceptable?

Documentary evidence means all documents produced for the inspection of the court .It is a well-settled principle of law that the documents upon which reliance is sought to be placed must be brought on records of the case legally. Original documents are must or authorised copies to be produced.

Even though it is laminated you can produce the origianl document along with certified copy of document from registrar office. other wise while marking the certified copy in court you have to give explaination why you are not filing original document, in whose custody the said original and also you have to give proper explaination under what circumstances you are marking the certified copy. you can mention in your affidavit as your originals are laminated so you are producing original document along with certified copy. if you want i will provide judgment.
