Civil case attendance in district principal court at Tamilnadu

sir, I am respondent in a civil case.First hearing was 06.06.2012,After 44 vaitha, cross examination started 17.12.2014 and completed at 54th hearing date on 23.09.2015.Arguments both sides completed at 72nd hearing date on 29.09.2016.Written arguments also submitted. Then Judge transferred. New judge asked again argument, now the 82nd hearing date (vaitha)going on but petitioner lawyer not yet start the argument . I am residing about 150 kilometer away from the court. My lawyer ask me to attend all the hearing date.I need the following clarification from the LCI experts.

1. I signed vakalath to my lawyer, I appeared cross examinations already, If I failed to attend the case date, " can the judge closed as ex party" ?

2. Without any activity, why the case posted another date? ( Jan 2017 alone 5 vaitha dates)

3. Can I insist early judgement, if so how?

Thanking you sir,

R.LOGANATHAN
