Cheque validity

I had given 2 cheques to a party 3 years back (may be NON-CTS cheques), which were lost by the party but i cleared the amount with other cheques (7 to 8 nos.). After that, i closed the account 2 years back. What are the consequences can happen on me if cheques were present? Please help.

You know the party who was having your cheques and you are not due any amount to him. If that is the case take in writing from him stating the chque nos. that's lost and there is no liability out of it.
