Changes to bank guarantee

My firm manufactures pressure vessels for various industries. We normally give a Performance Bank Guarantee to the client for a period of 18 to 36 months depending on the client request. One of our cllients has come back to us seeking extesion of this by 1 year. We are not averse to giving them this extension but we would like to add a clause stating that damage or leakage or non performance of the equipment due to wrong storage / handling etc shall not be our responsibility. We are only reponsible for the mechanical engineering aspect of the equipment.

I require help in wording the clause as above.

This is required as the client has stored the equipment for 1 1/2 years and we do not know under what condition have they stored at site.

Thanking you in advance
