Cdr (call detail records)

Hello Experts

I want to know for how long time a CDR can be get from any MSP (mobile service provider). There is a case against me which is pending since 2014 and all matter was from feb 2014 to august 2014 and case registered in sep 2014 so can any one tell me please????

i doubt if the general public wil be able to get the call records of others ..it has to be only through a police authority..TRAI had made rules strict.
