a friend of mine based in Gujarat was defamed by the army - a letter head of Army was used (indian express has confirmed that such letter was issued)mentioning that her motive and intent are suspicious as she tried to spread awareness about paraplegic soldiers.
the points to be noted are.
1. my friend was never questioned by the police or any competent authority. isnt it necessary for any investigation to be carried out before issuing a letter?? there is no criminal proceedings done by any competent authority against her..
2. letter mentioning her name is out on social media violating The official secret act,1923 and army regulation 319(b).
3. she calls its character assassination and defamation. she is receiving threats and hate messages.. she is also getting lewd msgs in bulk
what charges can be filed? and where should it be filed?
