When the matter is already entrusted to advocate it is always courteous to go according to directions of court. Civil and criminal cases are different, but concealment of facts and further continuing a process to cover some acts which are already challenged may aggravate the sitution. Please trust your advocate and get his opinion in writing, so that it protects you to some extent atleast.
