Can we claim the shares

My grandfather has invested 12000 rupees in the stocks of Andhra Paper mills 3 decades ago. He did not mention any legal heir to it. But his son is alive and me her grand son are left in the family. You can claim the shares. You have to approach shares department in that company, They give u a prescribed form for it.
