Yes, nothing illegal if the father has no objection for her stay in his house.

Seems to have born late by 400 years or should hve been in Taliban regime.

In taliban ruled afhghanistan many ladies were jailed on the charge of escaing torture by husband.

yes you can live anywhere without his consent but it should have reasionable cause to live seperatly without the consent of your husband because this is your fundamental right. and even you can take mentinance from your husband.

Living in father's house and living separately from husband are two separate issues. If she refuses to stay with her husband, the husband can file petition for restoration of conjugal rights. Of course nothing much can be achieved by filing for RCR.

You are advised for filing RCR.

RCR notice is a time tested tool to compel wife to raise true/false complaint of dowry/domestic violence against husband with family including married/unmarried brother/sisters wit/without their spouse.  This way husband leaves her with no choice but to spoil his family even if she does not want to do so.

This forum is full of such cases where husband with  parents/siblings faced such criminal charges.

After visiting jails people realise that the situation inside Indian Jails is not as rosy as shown in movies and the cops are also comedians in movies which is not in actual life.
