Can i drive a delhi registered car in hyderabad?

Hi,

I've moved from Delhi to Hyderabad recently.

The registration of my car is done in Delhi.

Can I drive my Delhi registered car in Hyderabad?

Do I need to pay any taxes in Hyderabad (now in Telangana)?

If yes, what is the procedure for the same? and how much do I have to pay - I've an Hyundai Accent 2010 make.

Please help!

Best Regards,

Amit

road tax is paid to the state concerned as it is state subject. hence u have to pay tax at the state where u are using ur vehicle. u have to seek noc from the RTO where it is regidtyered and present it to the state where u are using it with in one month for re registration. some state govts give exemption to certain catogories of persons(like defence personnel) for the duration for which tax has already been paid in other state for which seperate orders are issued by the govt concerned.

You would have paid one time tax (OTT) in Delhi. Now you will have to transfer your registration to the RTO having jurisdiction and may have to pay fresh OTT in Telengana. I do not know whether you will get any refund of OTT for the unexpired portion in Delhi.
