hello ld. members
Is it possible for a party to a lawsuit to act as a representing counsel in that suit. In clear terms he who is also an advocate is not signing vakalat but can he represent the case ?
Moreover to what extent a representing counsel can act in a case as per the advocates ACT ?. Is he allowed to argue in the matters of injunctions, stay etc at the least or he can go to the extent of arguing the main case itself ?.
CAN HE CONDUCT cross examination ?

Unless the Advocate on record declares him as his Leader he cannot plead the case and/or take part..

If the said advocate is a party to suit, he may represent his own case as a party in person and not on behalf of others without having a vakalat from them or have been authorised by them to represent their case too.

In case if a father and son are an advocate, and the son is also the plaintiff, can the son represent his own case as a representing counsel ?.
If the answer is NO, is this specifically barred by the advocates act ?
