i have doubt on Building and other construction workers act-1996& Welfare cess act-1996.

My doubt is who will pay cess as per act pricipal employer or contractor.

Please clarify my doubt as early as posible.

Pl read the Act carefully , it will answer . Depends on Facts .

In my opinion , its Principal Employer who should pay , If Facts differ , result will differ too

Quote the relevant portion of the Act , state Facts , I will interpret  or else you will understand yourself
