Bigamy

my question is to Mr. Augustine.....

if i am married to a lady...and i perform a hindu marriage type ceremony with another unmarried girl and i do all the rituals like sindur and mangalsutra but i do not do sat phere ( saptpada) in that event.... would that amount to the offence of Bigamy????

If thats recognized by the crowd who witnessed it as marriage then yo are definitely guilty of bigamy under sec 494
