With due respect, I would like to submit that I had taken the loan for Rs.9000/- on Dated 10.10.1996 form Punjab land development and finance corporation (Bank Finco). I had made the cash payments of Rs. 550,dt 10.05.96 receipt no.446 450/- dt 16.05.96 vide receipt no.195 and 4000/- dt 05.03.1997 vide draft no 188765 and rs.4850/= dt 13.03.1997 receipt no 312 (All Payment Copies Enclosed) at your local office at Malout/Mukatsar .I had sent the payment of Rs.4000 thru DD no.188765 Dt 05.03.1997.(Copy Enclosed).I had sent the DD thru Regd.post vide receipt No.688 Dt .07.03.1997 form malout to Bank Finco Sec 17 chandigarh (copy enclosed) .But I was shocked to receive a letter on dt.17.05.2011 (after app.16 years ) demanding Rs.20884/- .On receipt of the demand letter,I approached SBOP to clarify the same.After regular follow-ups ,SBOP confirmed the non-clearance of DD vide their letter dt.28.06.2013. In the light of above facts, you will appreciate that I have no fault as I had already paid the loan with interest well within the one year. I had requested several times to the then concerned officials at your local office to get us NOC, but all in vain. Under the circumstances ,I would request you to consider my case sympathetically and waive off the interest calculated on DD amount of Rs.4000/-.I am ready to pay the DD amount of Rs.4000/-. I look forward to your favorable response.
