Does one can be arressted and detained in a police custody if an FIR is lodged against him.?

not necessarily. after FIR lodged police must begin investigation., only after conclusion of investigation can it b determined if accused has rly committed cognizable offense. if a prima facie case is made out then cops can arrest accused 4 cognizable offense substantially proved
