will a case of ipc 279 and mv 185 be aquitted after paying fine. is it better to plead guilty or should i fight . i do not want a criminal record on my name.

paying the fine and settle the matter is amount to convicted and not acquittal, it will be better to fight the case on merit. but in fight the case, there is no time limit for disposal.

thanks for the reply. Is it possible to fight the case before the summon comes? i am ok with the drunk drive charges; but i want to fight the IPC case aganst me. i have already been waiting for over 6 months now.

Dear James,
Unless and until chargesheet is filed by IO before the Court you cannot appear as the court does not have your file/case with it. Ask IO to file the chargesheet at earliest.
